By Andrew Downie SAO PAULO, April 12 (Reuters) - Referees in three Brazilian derbies handed out 24 yellow cards and one red on a bad-tempered Sunday that marked the opening weekend of the state championship play-off rounds. The busiest referee was in Minas Gerais, where Atletico Mineiro drew 1-1 at home to city rivals Cruzeiro in the semi-finals of the state championship. Leonardo Silva was sent off for stamping on Cruzeiro's Leandro Damiao early in the second half and 10 others were cautioned. ...
