The Philadelphia Union will try to avoid matching their longest winless streak to open a season by adding to the Chicago Fire's franchise-worst start. The only time Philadelphia (0-1-2) has gone winless through three games was an 0-3-1 start in 2012, and it will have a short-handed roster this weekend. Conor Casey (sports hernia), Cristian Maidana (knee) and Sheanon Williams (hamstring) join an injury list that includes C.J. Sapong (fractured cheekbone). Midfielder Zach Pfeffer will miss this match after drawing a red card in a 2-0 loss to FC Dallas last Saturday, and he was suspended for an additional game Wednesday for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent.
